As part of the Pan-Canadian AI Strategy, NGen is launching a $50 million AI for Manufacturing (AI4M) Funding Challenge.
NGen will be looking for transformative and collaborative projects that are focused on the commercialization of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) applications in manufacturing environments. Projects must involve at least 2 industry partners: one manufacturer and one AI provider.

On Tuesday, November 8th, we kicked off the day with a virtual networking session and an update from the NGen executive team.
We heard from 18 different companies that have been funded by NGen and learned about the new technologies that are driving their success.
As this was a virtual event, our goal was to build collaborative partnerships that will lead to groundbreaking and enduring projects.
In case you missed it, here is the prerecorded webinar below.
These pitches from the companies were required to have transformative AI-driven ideas that would leave a legacy in Canada’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem and would solve a problem by collaborating with like-minded innovative thinkers to create long-term economic benefits.
